Spring Car Care tips

We can go on and congratulate you for surviving the long hard winter and tell you to pat yourself on the back, but the work isn't over yet! You took the time to get your car ready for winter and now it is time to get it ready for warmer weather.

One of the first things I recommend is to get it washed  to remove any and all road salt. The second thing would be to get the car waxed. This will help protect the paint from the UV rays the sun has to offer. And lets not forget about the engine compartment. Check and top off all your fluid levels. It is also a great time to change the oil if you haven't done so already. Make sure to use the recommended grade of oil and replace the oil filter as well.  Check your wiper blades and replace them if needed. Winter weather can be hard on the rubber blades not to mention the ice you were chippin' off of them with that old CD case. no sense in getting stuck in the rain without a good set to count on.

  1. My car was in an accident last week. There isn't serious damage, but I still want to have repairs done. I will have to take it to a repair shop. Since the damage isn't sever, it shouldn't cost me too much money to fix. http://www.foothillservice.net/Car_Repair_Bound_Brook_NJ.html

  3. I am going on a road trip later this summer. My car needs to have a major tune up before I depart. What are the top things to consider tuning up before I leave? It would be annoying to break down in the middle of nowhere.

  4. Bryan, that is a really great idea. There is nothing worse than being out on a long road trip and having engine or transmission problems. Usually you won't be able to make simple repairs in a couple of hours. It's best to get these repairs done before you leave. http://transmissionrepairhamiltonnj.com

  5. Where I live there is always a lot of salt on the road during the winter season. I have a neighbor who didn't wash his car and it was covered in salt. It resulted in the bottom of his vehicle to rust out. It is definitely a good idea to was your vehicle when salt is on it. http://www.bluevalleygarage.com/our-services

  7. How often would you recommend having your car waxed. It seems as though it is a simple, yet important, task to do during the summer. I imagine that you will need to do it more than just once. If you live in a hotter state, wouldn't you need to take extra caution to protect it from the rays? http://www.vcarclinic.com/services.html

  8. First, I want you to know that I did pat myself on the back after reading your first paragraph! As I read further, I thought it was definitely a good idea to get your car washed with all the salt from the roads that have built up on your car over the winter months. We'll need to check the fluid levels as well. These spring auto maintenance tips are definitely going to help preserve my Monte Carlo from getting too rusty or broken down. Older cars definitely need this spring advice more than any other car!
